A 36-hour Hackathon

ABOUT

HACK KRMU 2.0, the second iteration of the HACK KRMU hackathon series, is a 3-day event that will equip students with real technical and collaboration skills to hack together a project. As technological innovation shapes our future, we believe that it is imperative to get more diversity into tech spaces, and we see hackathons as a tool to do so.

Students currently in college and university, having any level of coding experience, are encouraged to join us in this epic 36-hour hackathon and discover their potential as problem-solvers and tech leaders. We've got mentors, volunteers, and mixers to help you get what you need and branch out, and fun events like type racing when you're bushed and ready to unwind. We'll keep you well fed and watered all day long. It's time to go out on a limb and find your roots!

Hosted by the School of Engineering & Technology (SOET) of K. R. Mangalam University, this is an event created for students, by students.

FAQs

A hackathon is social coding event where programmers, designers and developers collaborate to solve a problem and compete for cash prizes. It’s one part party, one part work-your-butt-off overnight battle against the clock and the competition.

HACK KRMU is an offline hackathon, organized by the students of School Of Engineering & Technology (SOET) at K.R. Mangalam University, where “hackers” (participants) design, develop, and present a software or hardware project built from scratch over the course of 36 hours. We will provide you with the resources and mentorship needed to make this happen!

Apart from the main event, we will be hosting a variety of recreational activities such as techtalks, workshops and hangout & chill session. HACK KRMU 2.0 is much more than just a hackathon, we want it to be an event that you will thoroughly enjoy while expanding your skillset and network.

The competition is open to all students affiliated with any accredited college or university at the date on which they enter the competition.

We allow teams having up to 5 people to participate in the hackathon. Only the team lead needs to sign up individually and specify the other team members on the registration form.

Make sure to bring your laptop and any other electronic gadget you might need for your project development. Also, bring your student ID card in order to enter the college premises. Everything else required for the event will be provided to you!

The Hackathon is free to everyone, you do not need to pay any amount.

Participants of the hackathon have to stay at the venue throughout the hackathon.

Other than finding fellow brilliant minds with complimentary skills to team up with, there is nothing else that you need to prepare in advance.

Yes, food will be provided at the venue.
